I am not defined by my weight.

I have been on here a month now and have to come a major conclusion. BTW, I am an awful speller so if you have an issue with spelling you might want to stop reading here. I am out of shape, my weight doesn't bother me nearly as much as my shape does. I honestly don't care if I weight 100lbs or 300lbs as long as I am in the shape I want to be in. I want to be strong and fit. I want to be able to run with my kids and wear what I like. While my weight may play into those I also realize that my shape plays more into it. I can't run if I'm not fit, I can't wear cute clothes if I'm saggy everywhere. SO this journey has now become more about what I can do that what I weight. My senior year of HS I weighed in a 165lbs, and at 5'4" I should have been overweight, but I wasn't, I wore a size 8 almost a size 6. I was strong and I was fit. I had two hours of aerobics class daily and did both swim team and waterpolo. So while I am working to balance my diet better and workout daily I am doing it to turn my body back into an tool for me to be able to live life the way I want to. I would be lieing if I said I didn't watch the scale because I do, but I watch my measurments more. I have only lost about 13 lbs since I've been on here, but overall I've lost almost 2" off all my measurements....that I like more than the weight coming off. So for everyone watching the scale like it was about to become either your best friend or worst enemy just remember keep doing as you should, keep working to make your self stronger and the weight will eventually get there and if it dosen't get to exactly where you want it to be, remember it's more important to be strong and healthy than it is to be skinny. I wish you all the best on your journey.

the worse thing to do is watch the scale/go for how you look and inches dropped/again, I had a client lost 9 per body fat 8 inches, and gain 2 pounds, she looks great that was two dress sizes
    keep up the good work!

remember that as you exercise you tone , you lose fat but gain muscle, dont pay as much as attention to the scale as the tape measure, good luck
