I'm going to be traveling 9 hours this Friday. I'll most likely eat breakfast before I go, but I'll need something to eat along the way. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also I won't be able to drink a lot (for obvious reasons). I only make 1 pit stop to fill up w/ gas and use the restroom. I'll just make sure I drink a bucket of water when I get to NY lol
Thanks!

Nuts, trail mix, peanut butter, sandwich thins, fruit, foil packets of tuna or chicken pieces, protein bars, or Fiber one bars.0 -
When we travel, I pack PB crackers or pretzels, fruit (like grapes or an apple), and carrot sticks. That usually is enough with the lunch we get when we stop to fuel0

Pack something healthy to eat along the way. Peanut butter sandwich, sliced veggies and fruit, trail bar - all easy to eat on the road.
Just plan your day and work out how many calories you have after breakfast and pack them up to go!
PS. Keep drinking and make sure you have regular stops. I'm sure there must be more than one restroom opportunity along the way.0 -
OH there are plenty of stops. It is such a looooong ride anyway...I HATE stopping b/c I have to go to the bathroom. I'd rather just stop to fill up my tank and keep going. I'll have to think about it. I'm evil to travel w/ for this very reason lol0

9 hours is a hell of a drive, I can understand you wanting to just get there.
However, planning a few stops to rest, breath (and use the bathroom) is likely to get you there in better shape.
Do you have some cool music to sing along to in the car, or my favourite - audio books to listen to?0 -

Wow I just came back from vacation and was on the road for 7-8 hours with one stop for gas and restroom also. I drank water in the morning and when I got to my destination
for snacks I had low calorie & low sodium Jerkee, cherries, protein bar, sandwiches, almonds, and apples.

If you want to grab a meal on your way, you could opt for healthier options, like Subway...0
