Hey ya'll! I'm new to myfitnesspal and I just wanted to stop by and say hello!

I'm really looking forward to using all the great tools this site has to offer, and I hope to make friends and find inspiration along the way :)

I have Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome, and I'm hoping that by losing weight I can finally get it under control.

I often get discouraged, because I look skinner than what I actually weigh (I've always carried myself well) but I still have to wear large plus-sizes. I'm so tired of not being able to shop for clothes with my friends and sorority sisters, and I want to get in shape so I can actually feel like a normal girl for once in my life. I know that sounds negative, but it's always been so hard for me.

Well, enough of this sob story. I can't wait to get started on here! I've already been working out at the gym everyday for the last 2 weeks, for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. I just need the extra boost of motivation!

though I dont have PCOS Ive always been "chubby" and was diagnosed borderline type 2 diabetic in HS (dropped weight at that point) but despite my activity level I stayed heavy due to bad food choices. I managed to avoid gestational diabetes during my pregnancy but REALLY dont want that risk if Im ever lucky enough to have another.

There are alot of women on here with PCOS (a few in my friends list even :)) it is definently a different struggle that is easy to get discouraged with. Having a good support system, whether it be in real life or here virtually, will help tons!
