Helloooo

I have just been assessing my goals:

1. Maintain my current weight forever!
2. Get a awesome time in my first charity race on July 31st
3. Run 1000 miles before 1st March 2012!

Now the first one is obviously ongoing forever, the second one I should be about able to do, I am on a 28:19 PB and people say you run faster on race day.

It is the 3rd one that I have made tough! I started running on March 1st 2011 so that gives me 365 days to run 1000miles. As on right now I have ran 145.81miles. This means I have to run 3.4 miles every day between now and 1st March 2012 to make my goal reality! Obviously this is not possible as everyone needs to rest.

So what does that leave? I HAVE to train, I HAVE to get better, I HAVE TO RUN LONGER! This works perfectly for me because I am planning on stepping up to Half Marathon level and competing in BUPA Great North Run in 2012!

I think it is better to set hard goals because you have to put the effort in and if you really want it you will do it! Also at the end when you reach your goal that seemed so far off and almost impossible you feel that much better and build a stronger character because of it :)

So set yourself some goals and work your *kitten* off to get them! Never give in, never think there is anything you cannot do!
