Hi everyone I'm participating in my first 5K since my weight loss. I participated in a 5K when I weighed 447lbs. It took me 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete. In training for this 5k after 178lbs loss I did 3.45miles outside in 42 minutes flat. I'm figuring that puts me at the 38 minute mark for the 3.2 I'm really pushing for 35 minutes this coming Saturday for our local Kelloggs 5K in Zanesville Ohio. For all of you that think you can't do it you can! I've lost 178lbs in 18 months and I'm now finishing my my 54lbs to hit my goal weight of 210. You can do this too! There is no magic formula to weight loss but getting up everyday, eating smart and in moderation and exercising. So keep moving, keep grooving (showing my age) and keep up the phenomenal work. You people inspire me each day that I can and will hit that 210 goal. For me that 5K at 447 was the beginning of a journey. If you read the Hell Yeah Fat Lady post from yesterday I totally could relate. So Hell Yeah Fat Boy your doing it! Woo hoo! i really love you guys! Thanks for the inspiration!

I did it! I finished the 5K and I was able to shave an additional 4 minutes off my best time yet! The finish time was 38:24. Now I realize that's no world record. But compared to 16 months ago at 1 hour and 15 minutes. WOW freakin WOW! I'm signed up for the next one at the end of August and I'm pushing now for that under 30 minute mark. I was told a 10 minute mile was required for the military physical fitness test. I wanna be able to beat that! Boo Yah! Thanks for the kind words and support everyone. Day 9 on P90 can't wait until I get to day 90. Tony is kicking my butt!
