Help! I'll do good for a couple of days and then WHAM! I want something sweet, chocolatey and nutty. Any suggestions on how to get past this? Any tried and true tactics? Thanks to all who respond!

Have it just keep it within your calorie count. That's what I do and I reached my goal a little over a month ago.

    klondike

    home made trail mix

The trick isn't to resist your craving, the trick is to indulge it within reason and fit it into your daily calorie count by maintaining an otherwise healthy food consumption.

Skinny Cow products are my lifesaver whenever I'm craving something chocolaty; they're all around 100-150 calories and easy to fit into my food diary as a small indulgence. Just make sure you have the willpower to eat just one, sometimes I could eat a whole box around my TOM

I absolutely agree with what allabtlm said, too

Oh yeah! I love Skinny Cow ice cream so much. And Weight Watcher ice cream. I get ice cream bars from both all the time. I eat an ice cream treat about every other day and it keeps my cravings to a minimum knowing I have something waiting for me at home.

I find sugar free fat free pudding with a tbs of sugar free whip cream stirred in is THE BOMB!!!!!

I also find that going OUT for dessert is easiest too, that way you don't have a whole cake left over, or a whole batch of cookies sitting there tempting you. plus its fun to go out with my hunny !
  • I agree with everyone and was going to say the same thing. Just indulge yourself within reason and have what it is you are craving. If you want chocolate, eat a piece of chocolate. What usually happens to me when I don't is that I will try to eat other things that I think will calm the craving "safely" but I just end up binging because, lets face it, the only thing that calms a craving is the food your craving! Just make sure you know exactly what it is you want and if you can't pinpoint it then don't eat anything until you do :)

Thank you all for your great suggestions. I got some good laughs out of it too! I pictured myself not stopping at one and eating a whole box - because it taste good! LOL:laugh: kimmerroze made me remember that I have sugar free jello that I can make and add whip cream to it. I've tried the skinnie cow products are they are good and low in calories - problem would be stopping. I have to find my discipline within. Thank you all again!:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
