I love bread! Okay, I love sandwiches that have amazing bread. Thick dense hearty whole wheat or multi-grain bread! My new love is Aldi's L'oven wheat bread - but it has HFCS. I really like Big Sky Co. bread, but you can't buy it at any ol' super market.

What's your favorite bread? I need to branch out!

I love all bread from Alvarado Street Baking company. They use sprouted grains, and no bad ingredients. There is lots of nutritional value in sprouted grains, great enzymes which keep us young! They have fabulous hot dog and hamburger buns too.

For my "go-to" bread I use there flax bread which is 100 cal for 2 slices, and as a treat there cinnamon raisin bread! YUM!

I buy mine at whole foods and the flax bread can even be found at trader joes Good luck on your bread adventures.

From one bread lover to another! =)

  • I love Orowheat's health-full 10 grain. 1 big slice has 80 calories and 5 grams of protein. It is satisfying and I don't feel like I'm missing out on real bread. Husband loves it too and doesn't care that its my "diet" bread.

HFCS is processed in teh body the exact same way as pure sugar..our body actually doesn't know the difference from the inside so if your concerned about the sugar part of that bread I wouldn't be too concerned...but i really like natures own breads all of their breads! and i wish i knew what kind of bread Arby's market fresh breads were bc their bread is really good too but they have to be a really high cal bread because their sandwhichs are around 1700 cals bleh

Homemade. We mill our own flour so we get a true whole grain bread. I also like to add a variety of things to it (nuts, seeds, rocks, twigs, small woodland creatures, you get the idea!) I only use molasses or honey for a touch of sweetness and not very much. I don't often eat it myself because I need a reduced carb diet to lose anything but when I do have a piece I don't feel guilty. Especially if it's warm out of the oven and slathered in butter!
