Why don't you use a cushion in the first place? My knees hurt way to much on the bare floor. And I don't get bruises^^0

Eek! That sounds painful!
I've always heard rubbing a fine tooth brush over bruises loosens the blood vessels. I've never tried it though - I usually just let my bruises fade on their own. Battle scars!
Schaapj2 - I saw one of your goals is to get the Dr. Quinn series - I love it!! I bought it a while ago (buy it on Amazon, I got it for like half the price of the stores), and I'm just starting season 6! Glad there's another DQ lover out there! haha0 -
Anybody else noticing they have bruises on their legs after a hard run?0

I do all the time. Specially when I'm coming back into running after not doing it for a while.0 -

I am perhaps a little twisted, but I wear mine from working out like a badge of honor... especially the ones I got from my ju jitsu class that I took with my husband.
*these I got from effectively blocking punches
*this I got from the girl who didn't know how to throw me properly
*this is rug burn from my gi
I also freak people out with my toes and blisters from running.
*Hey, check this out!
I should have totally been a boy!
Sorry, I didn't answer your question, but it looked like people already had it covered.0 -
I totally agree with you, not the twisted part but the battle scar/ badge of armor part. I love showing off my bruises. I box and my wife does Krav Maga so bruises can either be a badge of honor or a badge of shame0

Just an aside - a physical trainer once told me that it works your muscles better to hold the traditional (or "man's") push-up position and do nothing else, or to do half-pushups, than to do the "girls'-style" pushups. Might want to consider that -- plus fewer bruises!! :laugh:0
