I went jogging yesterday and at one point my knee felt funny. Sort of twisted, but not particularly painful, just kind of tight. After I got back to the car I stretched to cool down and it felt a little more uncomfortable. I cant walk on it no problem. Last night I woke up a number of times because it hurt when I turned over and today it's very tender. I want to jog again tomorrow. What have I done?? I was going to go for a small walk today and see if that will help.

After you exercise apply ice on it and take a couple of motrin to reduce sweeling. Buy an ace bandage and wrap it up at night and while u go for u run/walk. You should start to feel relief. My knee use to swelll all the time. I do Insanity and allt he pounding to my knee was killing me. My doctor advised the ice and motrin. The Ace bandage helped at night and elevated on a pillow. I hope this helps!0

A similar thing happened to me a few weeks ago and it was Iliotibial Band Syndrome (ITBS). Your pain could be something totally different caused by many factors, or it could be a strained ligament.
I would rest it, ice it, and then if it hasn't improved then go to the doctor
Remember to do your stretches before and after jogging as this is most important, as with any other form of exercise
Hope you are soon pain free0 -
I did this to both my knees. It might not be this but I pulled ligaments in both my knees, my right knee was worse than my left. Both of my knees swelled and were very stiff/sore for months. I ended up having physio, wearing a knee brace on my right knee and even still, my right knee gets stiff when driving etc. Turns out my knee cap floats and I just need to do some exercises and it is fine again.
Just something to keep an eye on really and make sure if it feels sore, stop what you are doing and get it seen to. You could end up doing more damage.0 -
Thanks a million for your help!0
