The one that replaced the F6 is the Polar FT7.

I have that one and I absolutely love it. It's really easy to use and set up, tracks 99 work outs, takes your Vo2Max in to account, and lets you upload the data with the optional flow link attachment.

It runs for anywhere from 79.99 to 120 dollars depending on where you buy it.

I have several of them and they all work fine. It depends on what you want out of a HRM. If all you want is the HR then go for the entry level Polar with the chest strap. No bells and whistles on this model but it tells you want you want when you want it. Also no big investment in $$$. I also have an entry level Timex (637) that does the same thing-- only provides the HR. This model also comes with a strap.

I have just started using the Polar FT7 because it gives me total calories burned during a workout. I am using that information to get an idea of not only the intensity of the workout but also the calorie burn.

I also suggest that people get a HRM with a strap and not the ones where you have to put your fingers on the wrist watch. I want to be able to look quickly at my wrist and get my HR while I am exercising.
