So I have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and I am always trying to eat around it to avoid getting sick.
I was just wondering if anyone else has it and how it effects their diet.
I find it has actually been a blessing in disguise at times. I can't eat fried food, pizza, ice cream, most italian foods, anything spicy, or anything greasy anymore. I still do sometimes, but I risk getting sick if I do it. Bad news is that it also rules out certain veggies (ie, broccolie, asparagus, beans). I have to limit my veggies, but can still have pretty much as much fruit as I want. It makes things eatting way more of a challenge, but appears to be helping as far as losing weight.
I am also secretly hoping that with the exercise increased, junk food decreased (even more now), and some weight loss, that my symptoms might go away! Has anyone had this experience?
Some days I have to skip the gym b/c of my IBS symptoms. I had to skip almost all of last week and ended up getting way off track by the end of the week.
Not the most fun ever...

I was told I had it and to eat apples alot at least 3 a day. I don't think I had it because it hasn't bothered me again. I just think the doctors were stumped. I wish you luck in your weight loss. You have a really positive attitude which I think helps.0
