I made it. However it didn't take the form of cake! It was really crumbling...I ended up getting spoon to just scoop it out! Was there something I missed?? It's JUST the mix and pineapple right?

What size can did you use? Maybe a large can to add more juice to the cake mix? I know when I make the diet pop cakes I always buy the 2 liter bottles and measure out the diet pop...a 12 oz can is just not enough for the cake. I made it yesterday and more like 18oz of pop......dang, it was good too. Topped off with fat free/sugar free Jello pudding & and lite cool whip...Yummy :glasses:

I made it too a week or so ago. It was really good, but I wished that the top and sides had turned a little bit more golden brown. I couldn't find a regular sized can of the crushed pineapple. I don't remember what size the can was I bought (13oz. maybe?), but it was slightly bigger. Mine came out fluffier than I had expected it too. I never even bothered with frosting or anything, just the cake for me.

It's a box of white/yellow cake mix and a large can of crushed pineapple with the juice. MIx the two and bake as directed.
  • I also use this with a one step angel food cake mix. It makes it spongy type of cake. Great topped with cool whip and some toasted coconut.
