Hi fabulous people...another one to add to your bunch.
I'm Laura, 29. I had my son, Ben, 10 weeks ago and am looking to shift my pregnancy weight plus (sadly) more. Roughly 73 pounds. *goggles* Yeah, I can't quite wrap my head 'round that either.
I've decided to ditch the standard diet plans for now (have done WeightWatchers on and off for the last 7 years!) and try to pare it down to something simple. I have a new baby so quick n' easy is my new motto!! ;-)
How is everyone? And for those who have a few weeks under their belt, how are you finding myfitnesspal?

Welcome and congrats on the baby. MFP has actually been very beneficial to me because it helps me track things I never had time to track on my own. And, with others being able to see if I have gained or lost or stayed within my calorie range it's been helping me keep at it and be accountable.
Feel free to add me if you want some friends and support.0 -
I love quick and easy too! The nice thing about eating CLEAN is that it IS both QUICK and EASY. And the weight will come off. I'm a mommy too and work full-time so I don't have the luxury of hours at the gym. I squeeze my workouts in at 45 minutes a day or less. Feel free to add me if you'd like.
I love MFP because as others have said it helps me keep track of not only calories, but other healthy stuff like my sodium intake and fiber intake. Mostly I get to see that I'm eating a BALANCED diet (though I did change my macros from MFP's default settings - I like eating 40% carbs, 30% fat and 30% protein), this has helped me shed fat and retain lean muscle - though weight lifting with HEAVY weights has also played a large part in this.
Remember to drink LOTS of water, especially if you are feeding the little one. Congrats on being a new mommy and stick with it, you'll become healthier than you could ever imagine if you do it right!0
