Recording Mileage

I see several people have a mileage ticker on their signature. Do you record this with a tool on MFP or is it another site? I'd like to use that as some extra motivation, but I'm not sure how to do it.

    Ahh! I must be doing something wrong. It does not look correct. Once I make the ticker--how do I use it to track? Do I have to keep some sort of log? That's where I'm getting confused.

    you can go back to tickerfactoy.com and put in your code you make and update it. i was so confused when i first got mine too
