Work out strong for about 7 days, then get off track for a week, then start over, then stay off, then start over.....

See the pattern?? Does it hurt you any to work out 7 days, take a break, then work out 7 days??.........

I enjoy it, but just want to know.

Personally, I don't think anyone should work out 7 days straight. Your body needs a break, to rest and recover. I work out Mon., Tues., Thursday, Friday, Sat.--taking Sunday and Wednesdays off.

Essentially, NO it won't hurt you.

Are you maxing out during your 7 days ON? If you max yourself out, energy wise, you might be prone to taking extra days off for lack of energy. Perhaps tone down your workouts some - gives your body opps to keep up with the demands you're making.

I don't take a day off but every two weeks, because only a few of my workouts are very intense and I feel I need the structure.

I like to workout at the gym Monday through Friday and use the weekend to stay out of the gym and do something physical with my family- like go for a bike ride, hike, etc... that way I don't get "burnt out on the gym".

It sounds to me like your body knows exactly what's good for it. According to everything that I've read you need at least one day a week to rest, even from cardio.

I usually give myself a couple of days off for that exact reason. I usually take off the weekends.

I want to work out 7 days right now, but I know for later down the road (if it ever bores me) I'll be glad I didn't "burn" myself out on it! I try to work out 6 days right now while starting out and until I reach my goal and give myself time to recover one "busy" day a week! Good luck to you:)

You should only work out at the most 6 days; your body needs one day to rest and recoupe. Muscles need time to rest and repair for the hard core workout routine. Have you tried alternating the type of work you do on a daily basis? It could help in keeping you interest and not get bored so quickly. If that doesn't help try Yoga on the 7th day. Stretching does the body good.
