Night owl to morning person?

Has anyone had a sudden shift from being a night owl to a morning person? The past three days, I've woken up between 5 and 6:30 in the morning with no problem. Normally, I can sleep all day when given the chance. Does anyone know what could cause this?

BTW, I'm not complaining about getting up early! I'm actually liking it, but I think it's odd that it's been pretty much an overnight shift in sleeping patterns.

i'd probably wait more than three days before thinking i've turned into a morning person :)

i go through periods like this, usually because there is some noise waking me up at* just* the right time to feel good, if i let myself drift off again then i'm asleep for another 5 hrs (or until my alarm goes off but if it's not a multiple of 4.5/5hrs, i feel like cr*p:)

I'm not considering myself a morning person yet! This has just never happened to me before!

This happened to me pretty recently. I always loved to stay up late and getting up early in the morning was always a struggle, but after graduating from university and starting to work I've basically reversed my habits. I can't stay up late at all anymore, even if I try, but getting up super early is no problem for me. Sometimes I wake up at 5 or so in the morning just to workout, but I struggle to stay up past 10:30 or 11 at night. I actually really love the mornings now, there's so much time before other people are awake to get things done. It is harder for me to go out with friends and such, because being up late is a lot harder now. Even when I do stay up late, I still get up around 6:30 or so. I think my internal clock has reset itself somehow, everyday without fail I will always wake up at 6:30 AM, even if I can sleep later. So strange.

Kind of. I'm not working right now, but I usually work nights and sleep until 1pm. I made an effort to change my internal clock when I finished my last job, and now I'm tired and ready for bed at 10 (I push through to 12 though) and have my alarm for 8:30, althoug I wake up a little before then but don't see the point in getting up that early when I'm unemployed and live alone. It's great for being productive. I do all my errands in a day and can then spend all week doing whatever I want.

Weirdly the same thing is happening to me lately. I also wake up during the night more though. I thought that for me it might be cause I just started working out hard in the morning (30 DS) so maybe my body is changing because of that. I don't know but that's interesting :)
