Hi, well I just want some help/advice/opinions. I am at a weight that I am really happy with, and slowly want to stop counting calories. And wanted to know if there was anybody that stopped counting calories, and were able to maintain there weight with just eating healthy.
I generally eat pretty healthy eating yogurt, fruits, veggies, almonds and stuff like that. And hardly eat junk food, and have the odd night out to eat what I want. I work out by running a lot.
Thanks

I did the opposite. I watched my caloric intake and exercised regularly without using MFP. I didn't "count" calories but I was just mindful of the approximate calorie count with each food item. I only joined to shed the last few pounds. It can be done without tracking. You could baby step your way from not using MFP by seeing how a week goes without it. Good luck!0

So I obviously am not at goal yet, but just a thought, only 5% of people that lose weight keep it off after five years, I would make a bet that they continue to journal. Also for the ones on here that have reached their goal I have observed that often they continue to journal. I know of people with amazing weight loss that plans on knowing every calorie that go into their mouths for the rest of their life, especially if you were significantly over weight before, we slip into bad habits so easily and quietly we don’t even know we are doing it often then suddenly all the weight is back on us. I know logging is a pain and I am certainly not perfect at it, but from what I have seen from others and statistics, I think your best chance of continued success is to always journal….sorry :-(0

I can maintain without counting. Well I'm not sure about long term, but i did it for about 5 days once, and lost more weight (which is why I count, so I don't under eat)
I'd say maybe start by counting JUST calories, no macros, and see how you do. If you're great, then try stopping, and don't weigh obsessively lol. Try it for a week, and if you gain a bit, go back to counting!0
