Hi all, I've only just joined 2 days ago and wondered if anyone has any good tips for protein snacks. I'm a snacker and so far I am realising I'm eating too much carbs! As a vegetarian I find it harder to find good snacks so any tips would be most welcome!

Cheese sticks, cottage cheese, protein shakes, greek yogurt, milk, tempeh, annnnnd so on!
  • I feel your pain! I'm also a vegetarian and I have a terrible time getting in my protein and staying under on carbs.

I love Kashi granola bars. I just bought a pack of the trail mix bars today. I also really enjoy Emerald's 100-calorie almond packs. They're a great snack with some nice protein.

Nuts. Preferably unsalted but no one is perfect. If you're not banning eggs those are very high protein and nutritious too!

Hummus (on pita or w/ carrot sticks), nuts, sunflower seeds, peanut or almond butter (with crackers or fruit)

Zone and Luna protein bars are tasty and filling. I usually eat one for a mid -afternoon snack.

I make a cucumber/feta cheese/ tomato salad with light asiago parmesean vinagrette (did I spell all that correctly) that I snack on over a 3-4 day period.

Also, Detour protein bars have 15g protein & very little carbs with 170cal each. I get those at Sams Club

Beef jerky is my goto snack. One pack (57g) has 22g protein to just 160 calories, the one I eat any way.
  • Thank you everyone for the good ideas! :flowerforyou:

I just bought light string cheese and 100 calorie almond packs yesterday (If I buy big bags I eat way too much).
