Vegan calcium?

I'm trying to cut out dairy from my diet and be completely vegan but every time I do, my calcium levels drop and my Dr. wants to put me on all kinds of supplements. I'm allergic to nuts and I already drink soy milk and drink a "complete" protein shake with all kinds of extra nutrients.
What veggies have good amounts of calcium?

Broccoli is a source of calcium but only provides 40mg per 100g serving. Try Curly Kale or watercress which provide around 150mg per 100g serving. Other good sources are celery and Green peas, butternut squash and sweet potato.
  • My advice is stick to a supplement. Try RAW ONE for women.

This may not help, but just thought I'd mention it. I was also told to add more calcium to my diet & since then I've been taking a supplement. If you can't find enough fresh food to meet your recommended amount, I recommend a supplement. However, be careful not to have too much calcium in your diet because it can strongly disturb your bodies normal cycle.
    Good luck!
