We all know that sleep is crucial to achieving our health goals- especially in weight loss. So I wonder why there's no entry for the amount of hours you sleep a day. I think that's really important to incorporate- even if we can't get an average number of calories burned while sleeping (or the Resting Metabollic Rate). Just like logging in how many cups a day of water, I think "MyFitnessPal" should have "Number of Hours of Sleep."

Any thoughts?

BTW, my name is Jessi

That would be awesome! I'd love to be able to go back and see how I was sleeping (or not sleeping) to see if it affects my cravings (I suspect it does!).

    Sounds like a brilliant idea!
  • Yea, that's a great idea! For now, we could track it in the Notes section on our food or exercise diary. Maybe someone could suggest it to the creator of myfitnesspal?

You can! Where you track all your normal measurements, like weight, there's a button that says "Add Measurement". Add one it, call it "Sleep" and start tracking! :)
