You are supposed to eat your calorie goal everyday. You should also eat your exercise calories. Don't go under otherwise you will find yourself in starvation mode, and on a plateau.
    Good luck!

Don't worry about it, your fine. Your not going to starve, that is the biggest myth on this whole site (starvation mode) your body takes what it needs period.

If you don't meet your calorie goal one day, its not a big deal. You won't go into starvation mode by just eating under a few calories. Also, if you exercise, I wouldn't eat those calories you get back. Unless you really start to go hungry, then eat something.

I disagree about starvation mode. When I don't eat enough calories for more than a couple days in a row - my body reacts negatively to it. The longer I go - the worse it gets. More than a week or two and I start to gain weight. It isn't a lot (.5lbs a week) but I DO see a gain and NEVER a loss.

So, I truly believe when we don't feed our bodies enough - they get stubborn and won't lose weight. You have to eat to lose. YOU HAVE TO. Starving yourself may work for temporary weight loss, but eventually your body will realize what is going on and weight loss will slow down or stop all together. And let's face it - starvation diets, restricting your calories too much screws with your metabolism. Fat storage, muscles being used for fuel. It's all been shown to be true when there is a severe calorie restriction.

Iv'e been doing this for over a year and look at my body fat %? Every person's system is different but starvation mode is a myth, I work with fitness models every day and trust me, I see how they truly eat, not what they say when endorsing a product

To OP: Within about 100 cals under OR over cal goal is fine. It is a goal to meet, not stay far under.

I've been doing this for over a year too and quite honestly... I've witnessed my body going into starvation mode because I wasn't eating enough. You can tell me it is a myth all you want - but I won't you believe you BASED ON MY OWN EXPERIENCE.

I don't know about you - but my goal is to build muscle NOT burn it for fuel. Eating insures my body is using the correct things for fuel and not my muscle. Plus, I'd rather not screw up my metabolism anymore than it has already been messed with from all the fad diets I've done in the past. I feel 100% better when I'm eating enough.

    ^^^THIS.

Try and meet your goal every day. Your goal has a calorie deficit built in based on how much weight per week you're trying to lose.
