Why is it that even if I lose down to 135lbs that I can't get smaller than a size 8. It makes me sad. I was down to 134lbs at one point and while my clothes I had fit smaller I could never drop a size. It's depressing :(

Some of us aren't built with teeny waists or straight hips. Whatever your shape, it's not the # that matters... it's how healthy you are and where your body is at its best.
Be proud of your fitness and your body! Flaunt what you like; learn to camouflage what you're not particularly fond of...
It's not depressing. It's reality. You've lost weight and that's great!

maybe its because youre not losing body fat but youre losing water weight. I dunno. Ive gone from size 12 shorts to size 4 shorts. I'm still in size 6 for pants (I haven't tried on the size 4 again yet (they fit but they are still a lil snug and not too comfy) since its too warm to wear pants). I'm a size 8 in black jeans (apparently its a different "fit" as jeans). I'm a size 8 in a 2 piece tankini (i think its called) down from i think size 10 last year. I'm still proud of myself!!!!! Do lots of cardio -- thats what helped me.

Definitely try doing a workout like 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels. You'll lose inches if you really push yourself, and in no time, with a healthy diet; you'll see results you're looking for! Although you can't change genetics.. if you have a bigger build, that's just what you have. You can still look fantastic! Learn to love your body- that is half the problem. Good luck. (:

I'm tall and "big boned" I can loose all sorts of weight & never get passed a 7. Even in high school when I was 118 lbs. People are built different and unfortunately some of us will never be a size 0. Be proud of who you are and as long as your healthy be happy! lot's of women would kill for a size 8!

How tall are you? Body type and height have a lot to do with it. I'm a size 8 at 150 pounds and I'm 5'7". At 130 pounds I'm a size 4 and I start looking too skinny. I don't care about comparing my size to other people. Some girls look great in a size 4, for example. I don't - I start looking too skeletal. So don't get stuck on a number. Just strive for what's healthy for YOUR body. :flowerforyou:

All sorts of things other than diet affect your size - your height, your body type, etc etc. Odds are you've just got some feminine curves, and that is far from depressing!!

I'm 5'5. I haven't been less than a size 5 since the summer before high school. I have... a nice rear :) My hubby likes it though . heh. I'd be happy with just getting to a 5 again. I'm not worried about anything smaller than that. I've noticed a big difference in my stomach just with the 10ish pounds I've lost so far. So maybe it's coming. I want to be smaller sooner than later because at some point before the end of the year there is a chance I'll be in a music video. I wanna be hot.. lol. And I really just want to be happier with myself. I've made the diet change. Not ON a diet, just eating less and not as many carbs. I'm running too and was thinking about trying out the 30 day shred. As long as I can still run every other day like I am. I need my runs or I feel blah.

it could just be body type. my mom was freakin' gorgeous and skinny as all hell when she was in high school, but then she told me that she's never worn smaller than a size 12. she's got the family "child-bearing hips" as we fondly refer to them in our family. if she lost anymore weight, she would have been a skeleton, but she was in a size 12 because that's just her body type. but she is amazingly beautiful. don't worry so much about the number on the tag as how it fits and how you feel.
