Any ranch or onion powder will do. Like the kind you mix with sour cream for dip.

I use some generic "California Ranch" powder. I use it like seasoning. It's pretty good.
  • i got the organic kind im sure you guys have those in the UK

if not... go look up on the in your search

for homemade ranch dip ... it will show what you can get to make it.
better that way :) ♥ healthier not to mention you know whats for sure in it

I've tried that recipe or one very similar to it, but substituted the sour cream for low fat creme fraiche or a little bit of buttermilk. Could probably use low fat mayo for it and use a little more creme fraiche or buttermilk to loosen up the low fat mayo.

It does taste a lot like it, but you won't get the exact flavor of ranch dressing unless you use the buttermilk for that slightly sour taste.

Being an American transplanted into the UK...no way would I pay the prices that some of the importers charge for a pack of ranch mix.
