everyone is quick to judge sodium as too high. However, it is often ignored of sodium to the number of calories consumed. Eating below 2500 mg on 1200 calories is easy but not on healthy 3000 calories. So, here is a challenge, plan a day with the required servings, but keep your sodium under 2500mg. This is my food requirement for p90x fat shred level 3 (it's crazy but that is what the book says. Yes, consuming this much food is a challenge by itself.

So at the end of the day proteins would be 900 calories, 480 dairy,200 veg, 200 carbs,200 fruit,400 snacks,100 condiments, protein shake, protein bar.
9 proteins, 4 dairy, 4 vegetables, 2 fruit, protein shake, protein bar, 2 snacks 1 carbohydrate, 2 condiment

Calories to count as serving
Protein 100
Dairy 120
Snack 200
Veg 50
Carb 200
Fruit 100
Condiment 50 calories

My point is consider the number of calories and food being consumed before jumping to a statement of your sodium is to high.

everyone has their own ideas and view. if you dont like comments ppl leave you then disreguard what they say. for the most part they think they are helping. true everyone does not and cannot follow the same lifestyle. if the sodium comments from ppl bother you so much ask/tell the ppl commenting about it. honestly i didnt understand what you was tring to say at first either. i myself try to keep my sodium low although i dont freak out if i have a 3000 day that's life. also another solution is to delete the ppl whom you dont like the comments from i mean if their comments are offensive in your mind.

    Hi,

Have you considered a plant based, whole food diet? It is sodium free and you can add spices like Mrs. Dash seasoning that doesn't have sodium. Take a look at my diary and you can see that the last few days, I have been limiting my sodium intake. I made some curry sauce that has sodium but I watered down the sauce so I have really limited it. Once I figure how to make a sauce without sodium, I will!

The reason why I don't comment on people's diary (unless they are my mfp pal) is because some people follow a diet plan like I do (the McDougall Plan) but most follow Atkin's or a variation of it. A great way to eat salt is to not use it in your cooking, but sprinkle it on top of your food so your tongue can experience the flavor immediately. If you put salt in the cooking process, the taste is harder to taste and it is dangerous as people add more salt until they can taste it. This also applies to sugar.

    Good luck!

It's what works for me and it's pretty easy to follow since I am vegetarian and stay away from processed foods and soda. I cook my beans from scratch and don't add any salt when cooking. I'm a spices type of gal.
