So I've lost 16 lbs since starting MFP at the end of May, and I wanted to celebrate with a few new outfits. But since I am convinced that I am going to continue to get smaller with this great fitness plan, I didn't want to spend a lot of money. I went to our local Goodwill yesterday and hit the bonanza! Two new pairs of khakis, one is Lee Dockers and brand new, 5 tops, one is Chaps, two are Daisy Fuentes, all for $11.50 because clothing was 50% off. Yippee!! Great reward!

I wish all my MFP friends lived close so we could for a clothing exchange--wouldn't that be great?

I do the same thing at Goodwill. Every trip so far has been a success. Plus, it's just so fun to go hunting through the clothes. You never know what you will find! :) The prices are cheap enough that I've been known to even buy a couple "future" articles of clothing that keep me motivated to continue.

In case you don't know about it, it's not local but there is a MFP clothing exchange group on Facebook :)

Keep cheering on the second-hand shops. They're saving me loads of money, good quality clothes at much less than retail prices, extending the money which may be going to healthier foods! I've bought pants 3 times in the last 7 months. Once before Christmas for a work-party, once at the end of January I think when I was down 4" in waist size and another couple pairs in May down 8" in waist-size. I can't afford to buy "new" each step of the way, but I can certainly go to second hand shop and claim something decent on the cheap that "fits" reasonably well.

Bargains are there for those that ask, I went yard-sale shopping yesterday and saw a box of mason jars "how much?" Oh we were just waiting for someone to ask about them, take them. Score.

After 25 pounds gone, I finally hit the outlet mall and found a couple of suits -- dramatically on sale. I actually asked the sales clerk if the price was right -- they were 50% off of the marked tag price, which i had originally thought was a deal!

It took me 25 pounds to change 1 size, so I figure I will be here a while. So I splurged a bit, and found a good tailor!
