BUILDING MUSCLE??

Need some help/suggestions on what I can do to build more muscle in my legs and abdominal area. I am at my goal in weight and don't need to lose anymore, just want tighter legs and abs. What can I do to accomplish this...eat more protein? Do different exercises? I currently do a mixture of Insanity, P90X, Zumba, and Brazil Butt Lift. I pick and choose exercises from P90X (I'm already a grad) and Insanity.

Suggestions/advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Seems like everything you're doing is cardio related, have you tried any strength building programs?

P90X does....maybe I should do more? If so, how often per week?

I am like you, at my goal weight, don't really want to lose more, but still not seeing the muscles like I'd like to see. I just finished reading, "The New Rules of Lifting for Women: lift like a man, look like a goddess" by Lou Schuler. It really has made me think that the way to the body I want is not through cardio, but rather through true weightlifting. Check it out if you can. I already asked my husband if he'd buy me a weight bench & set and he said, "I think WE should." COOL-- bonus if we can do this together!! Currently I'm checking Craigslist to see what might be out there.

Thanks! I will check in to that! Awesome on the weight bench and set....it's nice to be able to do it out of your own home and not go to a gym :~)

lift weights :) 'heavy' weights. I heard good things about the book that was recommended (NROLF) and have ordered a copy, but I already lift 5 days a week. For defined muscle, you want to focus on losing fat... try to eat at least 1gram of protein per pound of bodyweight (some people say more, some say less), eat as clean as possible, (cut out the processed foods, lots of veggies, some fruit, healthy oils) and keep up the cardio.
The cleaner you eat, the better. Seeing abs/ muscle is all about bodyfat %. Check out the female fitness section on www.simplyshredded.com there is an awesome section- read the womens training bible.
