My BMR states 1,886 calories/per day! What does that mean? Can anyone explain that to me regarding food & exercise! Thanks!

Basal metobolic rate, is where your body is at rest, so basically with no diet/exercise what your body needs on a daily basis to function properly to maintain. If you want to lose weight you create a calorie deficit of that 200-500 calories. If you want to gain weight you add 200-500 calories a day.0

Where did you get that calculated? Its very difficult to estimate your true caloric needs from a simple 4-factor calculator..
Your daily caloric needs = BMR * Activity_Rate, which for sedentary is 1.2 (check yours here http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/harris-benedict-equation/ )
Total_Calorie_Needs = 1500*1.2 = 1800
Either way, if Calories_From_Food_Eaten - Calories_Burned_Exercising = Total_Calorie_Needs, then you don't lose weight because your ins equate to your outs.
To lose weight (1 lb/wk), you'd want:
Calories_From_Food_Eaten - Calories_Burned_Exercising = (Total_Calorie_Needs - 500)0
