You can determine the time based on your fitness level 30 seconds would be the low end and 3 mins for the higher end. I plan on doing 1.5 mins for my holds. Please use the same time all week though and tell the group how long you are holding them for.

Or you could just count these planks towards the planks for the other challeng ;)

Heck yes, I am here for this! Although I am not sure about the sugar or how much I really need to watch it ... but I will try and keep it close. I just need to get back to the checking in with the challenges again. I have SUCKED lately!

can I ask what everyone is setting their sugar at. MFP has mine at 40. I have had some milk and a banana toady and that alone put it at 36. Not sure how I will go with the sugar as I have logged for the stuff i will eat today and way way way over 40.
I am still losing weight so not sure if my sugar is affectring me too much as most seenms to come from dairy and fruit/veg

meant to add that I found a few articles that say about not counting the sugar in fruit and milk towards the goal that it is 40g max plus your fruit and milk. Grrr maybe this is why I dont track sugar but fibre instead

ooo I'm in...going to aim for 30 second planks! I also am raising my sugar goal a little bit above what mfp sets...I eat too much fruit to stay under that!

Okay, this should be interesting. I've never watched my sugar or done planks, but I'm game.

You can determine the time based on your level ranging from 30 seconds to 3 mins+. Pick a time and stick with it for the week though and report to the group how long you are holding.

I log this under Calisthenics (pushups, sit-ups), vigorous effort.

I am new to this and totally didn't think about the sugar in fruits. So I am going to say you can pick between the sugar or change that challenge to 8+ glasses of water a day.

I'm going to watch my sugar count, but subtract the natural sugar from my fruits and veggies.

I'm in too! Will attempt 30-sec planks. I already hurt just thinking about these! And, as sugar is not one of the things that my MFP is set to track, I will make my nutrition goal be the water one of 8+ glasses/cups per day.

Ok so it was the first time attempting planks last night! (Mon night in NZ) Ended up doing 15, I did 3 sets of 5 throughout the day but there were long gaps in-between each 5! As it was my first time I just did 30seconds and I have to say that was such a challenge, I was shaking like crazy towards the end - but am so glad I did it! :)

Unfortunately I was over by 20 with my sugar, but the stink thing is that it was all from fruit!
Is it ok to let myself have more because it is just coming from fruit?

I did 30 second planks spaced out through the day. And i did go over on my sugar for a little bit but my workout compensated for it. I think Im also going to track my water intake as well. Hope everyone had a good first day!

I'm in on the plans, but not sure about the food challenge. I have been tracking my sugar and am consistently over. Mostly because I eat so much fruit, I have really managed to cut down my sugar treats over the past month. How do you guys differentiate between fruit sugars and refined sugars???
