Well I am 25 year old happily married female. I have no children, and a huge drive. I just recently got my hypothyroidism under control with medication, and my doctor said its finally time that I can try to lose weight. Since it is so difficult to lose weight with a thyroid condition my doctor has prescribed Phentermine under her care and monitoring. I go in once a month for blood-work, and monitoring of my blood-pressure and basic health status. Normally Phentermine is safe for people to take without monthly monitoring most doctors with monitor a healthy patient every three months. However my doctor feels with hypothyroidism and my current medication regime that it would be safer to check me monthly.
I love to hike, run, bike and climb; however, since gaining so much weight I haven't really been able to do much of these things for many reasons but primarily because I very easily become out of breath. I also have activity induced asthma, which my doctor has assured me will subside again once I am a healthy weight.
I would love to say that my weight came on just from my thyroid, but after taking a few weeks to look at my life; I have realized that it was that in part, but I also used that as a crutch as to why it was ok I was gaining so much weight. It was also pure laziness. Which I am OVER!!!!!
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 206.2 lbs
