Hi all. I was just wondering if anybody knew roughly how many calories an hours zumba class burns? I have tried typing it in on here and it fails to recognize it. I also don't have access to a HRM tonight so it would be really helpful if I had a rough estimate

    before owning an HRM, I logged it under high impact aerobics.

    I am a zumba instructor and I always wear a HR monitor. I on average burn 500calories in an hours class. However, what you do have to remember is these 'sites' dont take into account your height, age, weight, sex, muscle mass etc when giving you a calorie expenditure reading.

    If you exercise regulary I would recommend investing in a good Polar HR Monitor so that you can import all your stats. I think many people would be surprised how inaccurate this site is at 'predicting' calorie expenditure.
