Exercise Suggestions Needed

I've lost a significant amount of weight in the past (after having my 3rd child) by doing pilates twice a week and an African dance class once a week for cardio, along with teaching ballet/tap/jazz 5 days a week, all without changing my diet. I gained 50 lbs after getting married and moving to a small town 4 years ago. Here, there are no pilates or African dance classes available. I hate yoga and most cardio. Any suggestions as far as good workout videos?

I've tried Insanity with no results (and hated it, although I went 100%) and Chalean Extreme with no results. I've also tried P90x (2 years ago) and had results, but got off track when I went on vacation and never got back on track. My hubby and I try to work out together to keep each other motivated but he doesn't want to do P90x :/ It's quite discouraging going through an entire program like Insanity with no weight loss or inches lost.

I heard Zumba is good, but I'm not into aerobics/dance I strictly use my elliptical at home and the Cybex Arc Trainer at the gym which burns 300 cals in 30 minutes for me. More cals less time is what I'm after. I lift weights for an hour to hour and fifteen as well and the weight stays off.
Good luck, sorry I can't help too much.

I love to dance ....I have recently purchased Zumba Exhilaration (I've graduated from P90X, done Insanity, P90, & Brazil Butt Lift) and I LOVE Zumba...so much fun, and I burn a ton of calories and you don't even notice it because you are having so much fun. It's expensive ($90-$100) but I feel it's well worth it! I LOVE latin dancing & the music is great!! There is a CD in there that has different dancing from all over the world ..... African, Columbian, hip hop, Flamenco, etc...

I think you would feel the same as I do!

Have you thought about trying a Martial Art?
Not certain about what is available in your area but I have been going to a Capoeira class for a couple of years and about a year ago I added a Jeet Kune Do (Jiu-Jitsu & Wing Tsun) to my routine.
Perhaps these are not to your taste but there are many different forms available (Karate, Kung Fu, judo, Tae Kwan Do, etc.). All of them will provide a great combined cardio & muscular work out. The techniques can get complicated and there will absolutely be physical contact during some classes (if not all).
Another option would be boxing. Many gyms that offer boxing will offer a non-contact boxing workout program that will push the limits of your cardio.
    Good luck with your search.

Do you run? I've just recently finished the C25K programme, and its a great cheap way to burn cals! I've also tried the 30DS, but it has taken a back seat to the running recently.

I don't run...I've tried to in my neighborhood but there seem to be a lot of "loose" dogs that like to chase people. But I can't right now because I have plantar fasciitis :(
