I did my weigh in today after a week and it turns out ive put on 3lb that i had lost last week. ive been under my calories everyday. I felt really disheartened by it all. Could it be my salt intake or not enough water??? I had my son 10 weeks ago by c-section so im trying to do as much exercise as i can without doing myself an injury lol.
Im not giving up I just need a some advice on how this has happened

It could be water/salt. You could be bloated, backed up, had a big meal the night before your weigh-in, maybe you hadn't gone to the bathroom? It could be a whole load of things, not necessarily that you actually regained 3lbs of fat.0

My weight goes up and down a few pounds, sometimes in a matter of days. Since adding 3 pounds of fat would mean that I overate 10,500 calories, it usually means water. Ironically, the less water I drink, the less weight I lose. Drink lots of water, and the weight seems to come off faster.
Stick with it. I'm betting you are down 3 pounds next week and you continue that trend as you go!
Good luck, and congrats on the new baby!0 -
sometimes its not about how low the calories are. maybe you should try upping your calorie intake by 100 calories because your metabolism may be going crazy because if it. are you breast feeding that should help loose weight too? and sometimes you can be under but have only eaten chocolate and icecream. you got to eat the good stuff too.0

And it could also be that you just gave birth! The female body takes a full year to recover after having a child. Make it your goal to exercise and eat healthy, not lose weight. The weight loss will come, and it will be a bonus.0
