HI Guys
OK so Double Day seems to be going well, and I would like others to suggest any "mini challenges" hat the group can do.
This is not my game, im just moving things on map, its all of our game and i value everyone's thoughts and ideas !

How about....choosing to focus a part of our diary we always seem to slip up on? For example, mine would be carbs and water intake....but other people can choose their own depending on how their diary looks???
I know people could deffo be getting more protein! x0 -
I like Foxy's idea. You could maybe get bonus miles for every cup of water over 8 on that particula day for example. Due to the danger of way too much water though, set it to a max of 20 or something.
My idea is bonus miles for different exercises. So on the chosen day as well as your usual miles for your calories you get an extra mike for each individual thing you did, like Treadmill, Cross Trainer, Weights, Swimming etc.0 -

How about bonus points for trying a new activity? E.g. 50 extra cals
For me that would be swimming or anything strength related!0 -
What about a bonus if everyone in your team does a certain thing in addition to their daily workout (like 100 jumping jacks or a certain amount of push-ups or something)? Or what about a bonus for water-related exercise (water skiing, swimming, showering with partner...)?0

LOL how about we get paired up with another ship and the ship with the higher score gets to add the cals from the other team also. The losing team would just log the points they earned though.0

So far, I like the idea of mini challenges. Maybe to lessen the workload, assign each boat captain a day and do a challenge every other day or something.0

Or instead of doubling the calories we only get to count 1/2 of them. Might encourage us to have higher burns. :smokin:0

Sodium.
MFP suggests 2500mg of sodium a day. However much you are under the 2500mg you get to add that to your calories burned for the day!0 -

I'll see if I can think of any bright ideas - but on behalf of those of us who don't live in the US, could we have the challenges the day before so we can participate. I was already in bed last night by the time I read about double day!

Penalty for being off on calorie intake. Take the amount under or over the calorie target, and subtract that from the miles. Maybe take the average number for the whole team. Maybe give some "grace area", like allow 50 calories over or under without penalty.
In other words - teams that hit their calorie targets are rewarded; teams that don't are penalized.0 -
