Veggie Burgers/Chicken Patties

Are veggie burgers really good? I keep seeing lots of post about how good they are, and what about the chicken patties?

Can't answer about Chicken Patties but I eat veggie burgers a lot. In fact, I am having a Masala Veggie Burger from Trader Joe's at our cook out this afternoon. You kind of have to try out different veggie burgers to find which ones you like - they all taste very different. The Masala one that I am having today is spicy (indian food spicy). I like Black Bean burgers a lot - particularly the Southwest ones.

They aren't anything like a hamburger so don't think that they are some sort of replacement for them. However, I like them.

Janet and Greta chicken burgers with fire roasted veggies...at Costco, very good!

I don't eat red meat so around this time of year vegie patties are a must. The morningstar veggie "Garden"burgers are amazing. I also like the ones from costco (I think they come in a four pack).

I'm vegetarian, so all I eat are veggie burgers (not *all* I eat, but I mean I don't do turkey//chicken/ham burgers :oP)

Some are good but others are gross. I've had success with these brands: yves, boca, amy's organic, and also from making my own chickpea and black bean burgers.

Having been a vegetarian for 6 years, I think veggie burgers are FANTASTIC, but you may think otherwise. You really just have to try them. I recommend Morningstar Grillers or Boca Bruschetta burgers. Those are soo good.

Ooh, and definitely try Morningstar Asian Veggie Patties. Delicious.

Thanks, everyone! I just went to Food Lion and armed myself w/ Boca burger and chicken patties. I'm going to give both a try.

I make chicken burgers from fresh ground chicken breast meat. I season them like I would a hamburger and eat away! They are great!

I love veggie burgers!!! The Morningstar and Boca brands are my staples since I'm vegetarian!

Good luck, Lisa! A lot depends on the brand you buy, but I think Boca Burgers are great. I like the Morningstar Farm & Quorn chicken products, as well.
