Last night, I was at my mom's house and decided to have a glass of juice before bed. I grabbed the bottle of Langer's Pomegranate Cranberry from the fridge and had a decent sized glass (12 or so ounces). I woke up about 4 hours later completely covered in hives. Now, I am allergic to strawberries, bananas, and peaches. I've had both cranberries and pomegranates before with no reaction. The ingredient list doesn't list anything that I know I am allergic to, but also lists "natural flavors" on it. Does anyone know what is in this juice? This was the only thing new that I consumed yesterday so the hives had to come from the juice.

it was probally made in the same machines that they make the juices for the ones you are allergic too. Company's dont tell you that they use the same machines to make different kinds of juices. Same thing happens with peanuts too. My husband knows of a company that makes a sause that uses peanuts and then uses the same machine to make other sauces. Even though they clean it some of the residue is still there unless they totally sanatize it. Just a thought.

If you really want/need to know, you need to contact the manufacturer of the product.

a couple years ago i became allergic to apples, pears, peaches, plums, and cherries (raw only) and have to be very careful with what i drink especially with fruit juices like odwalla that use raw fruits. i dont know anything about the juice you had, but it is definitely possible that youre allergies have increased to include a new fruit (this happened to me) or that this juice is manufactured with some of the fruits that you are allergic to.

    hope this helps!!
