So, I signed up for a 5K and was wondering if I should be modifying my workouts at all for this...here's a typical week. The race, by the way, is in 2 weeks.

Spin class-50 mins three times per week
High Intensity Training-one time per week
Jogging- 60 mins-one time per week
Step-60 mins- one time per week

I figure I'm exercising enough, I should be okay right? Maybe I'll nix one of the spin classes and switch that up with running. I looked online for training programs and the majority are for beginner exercisers who have like 9 weeks to train. I'm kinda concerned, but I figure I'm pretty strong as I have been following this exercise routine for over 3months now. SHould I be doing anything else??

    hi!

If I understand your question right, you are asking how to train for 5K race?

I guess I'm not sure how to train because I don't think it will be too bad since I exercise so much anyway, but I could be wrong and that's what I want to know about.

when you jog for 60 minutes, what is your distance? a 5K is equal to 3.1 miles, so if you are already going farther than that in your 60 mins, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Good luck!

Ok, I take it as a yes

For 5K (and other distances) here's your resource:

    http://www.halhigdon.com/5K Training/index.htm

These are guidelines, so adapt to your lifestyle, etc.

Make sure you stretch before (5 min) and most of all after runs!!!!

let me know any more questions...
