Your Net should be 1200 at the very minimum (unless you are really small like 4'11" and less than 110lbs) If you have trouble reaching your calorie goals try the following:
-Stop eating diet or lite versions of food
-When option for Milk products (cheese, milk, yogurt, etc) opt for a higher MF% choice i.e. switch skim milk to 2%
-Add nuts, seeds, dehydrated fruit and/or nut butters to you day instead of a low cal snack
-Add olive oil to soups and sauces
-Add avocado to salads and sandwiches
-Have a glass of juice in place of a glass of water.
    -etc.

MFP is designed so that you should be trying to reach your goal number in NET calories.

I think you answered your own question!!:):)

I was confused about this too but if you're working out a lot, it is my personal belief your should NET 1200 calories meaning, if you earned 900 calories then you should definitely eat a good portion if them back and you wont be hungry!

    God Bless!:)

i usually eat my 1200 a day some days i go over alittle some im under a little if i exercise i do eat some if im hungry but not always as i find mfp exercise calories to be wrong alot so i tend not to eat my exercise cals unles sim feeling particulary hungry

the general view on here is to eat 1200calories net but ultimately you will have to tweak around see what works for you as long as you eat 1200minimum with all food groups covered so you get all the nutrients etc your body needs dont worry too much on cals from exercise unless you are exercising and burning excess amounts then you really should eat at least half of them
