having trouble with weekends

I am new to this site (definitely not new to the idea of dieting) and I'm having a hard time sticking to "the plan" on the weekends. I'd say a big part of it is being out of a routine and being around a lot of temptation. Alcohol, going out to eat, going to cook-outs with lots of tempting sides, and not being motivated to work-out. Being in my 20s it's hard to not to be surounded by all of this temptation since most, if not all, of my friends are thin and have no problem going for seconds or making the highest calorie punch possible. And as much as I tell myself to say no or drink water instead I feel like I'm missing out. How can I stay motivated through the weekends?!

It's all about mindset. What's worth more--eating that fatty snack or getting to your ideal bodyweight? Which will make you feel more accomplished? Which will make you happier in the long-run?
If you're comfortable, you might share your dilemma with friends and they can help keep you on track by offering healthy alternatives or just by being supportive when you turn down the extra beer or bacon-fried-steak.0
