What do you do when you are craving for something that is not good for you?

Depends on what it is & why I'm craving it. If I'm craving because I'm bored, then I make myself go for a walk, do something different for 10-20 minutes, then if I'm still hungry, properly hungry I have a snack.
For sweet cravings I have chocolate covered sunflower seeds, which I'll have as a small portion or hotel chocolat individual chocolates, again in small amounts. Or fresh fruit helps with sweet cravings too.
For savoury, I have popcorn or again, sunflower seeds or almonds, something like that.

I think, for me personally, if I deny myself something I'll only binge on it later, so I have a small portion of what I want & savour the flavours.

If i'm going CRAZY searching the house for something sweet, I usually either brush my teeth or chew a piece of sugar free gum. It seems to help me quite a bit. :)
  • If you are craving sweet, you need more protein. If you crave salty, you need more water.

I'm a huge chocohalic!! I am addicted to Velvety Chocolate Vitatops (found by the frozen breakfast section)...they're 90 calories, low fat, sugar free, and full of fiber! They always satisfy my cravings...

The most important part of cravings is that you can't deny yourself...it's all about moderation.

If I limit myself completely, I'll be more likely to binge later. Jello makes a 60 calorie chocolate mint mousse that's really good. Also, 1 piece of Hershey bliss dark chocolate has 35 calories. There's tons of 100 calorie packs, ice cream bars, etc. Skinny Cow is good. It's okay to have a sweet, but you have to be able to limit yourself. This works for me, but doesn't mean it will for others.
