Where I live its Morning in America, and If I want to post something political, or about religion then by God I will do it and my 1st amendment gives me the right.
There are already enough threads about, Help me I skipped breakfast, "I think I am in starvation mode", or how do I get rid of my stretch marks,or my boobs are shrinking and I'm depressed and should I eat my exercise calories. OH PLEASE some folks need to get a life and have some common sense!
Good morning Smitty in America, from Ruby in Australia. One of the things I love about Internet forums is that you get to interact with people from different places and cultures and get different view points on things that we may well take for granted, or learn about things that don't ever hit the news here even though they are incredibly prevalent or popular somewhere else.
I do agree that it is a nice change to have something to talk about other than eating exercise calories or stretch marks, though now I've googled this case to find out what it's about (it hasn't hit the news in Australia, or not that I've seen anyway) I'm very sad to read such a tragic story about the death of a little girl.
You are quite welcome to post absolutely anything you like, but the forum moderators will delete them if they are deemed inappropriate, regardless of your "rights". They have made some rules "to ensure civil discussion" and they include:
"13) Topics about politics, religion, or sexuality are not allowed and will be deleted. " This case doesn't seem to fit any of those so unless it gets very "uncivil" I don't imagine there would be a problem.0 -

I must add that it's not the jury's fault. They didn't have sufficient evidence to convict. The prosecution was riddled with holes and the defense just picked it apart. Emotions may run rampant and she may have very well killed her child but you have to prove it. Such goes the saying "Innocent until proven guilty.". Emotions don't win court cases, evidence does. Please don't hate the jury, hate Casey anthony.
That being said, a monkey could have figured out that she did it.
I think that's exactly what it boils down to in this case. Without any evidence of cause of death, how do you convict someone for murder?
If any one of us were charged with murder and the state had no evidence of how the victim died, would you still be shouting that this was a miscarriage of justice? The state couldn't prove their case, so Casey walked. Yes, it's maddening and unfortunate for all involved, but our legal system is designed to keep people from being rumored and railroaded into prison or the electric chair. I, for one, am glad of that.0
