Share your reflection! Here's mine...

Today is my 11th day, I've lost 2 lbs (maybe another 1/2 lb, I refuse to weigh yet) but more than anything I would have NEVER thought that I would be so eager about exercising! I have only taken one day off during these days and am approaching another "resting" day, but I woke up this morning and was ready to get on my elliptical and I started reflecting on my changing attitude! It's the strangest thing because when I started this, I did not want to get up and exercise and didn't. I stayed in bed until 5:40 even tho my alarm is set for 5:00. And I was tired then:yawn: ! So, my first three days, I was exercising in the evenings...then I noticed I was sleeping better....then I noticed I was waking up better...and today, day 11, I woke up anxious to get on my elliptical. I did 20 min this morning, 10 min yesterday, 30 min the day before that and I'm still exercising in the afternoon after work. I sat on my bed this morning thinking, WOW...my body is "waking up" I feel great! So after a workout, a shower, a breakfast and a wonderful attitude, I was out the door by 6:50!! My reflection is that I'm encouraged by the difference I feel now compared to how I felt two weeks ago and it happened without me really noticing! Oh my-- quick reflection-- gots ta get to work--
I was having a seriously down day yesterday-- not about weight, but about life in general-- money woes, et cetera-- while I know I am blessed immeasurably with 9 beautiful, healthy kids and am "rich" where it counts, the constant grind gets me down now and then-- especially during pre-TOM, if you know what I mean.
Anyway-- before I started on this journey, I would have turned to food for comfort. But, I didn't yesterday. I finally seem to have gotten that THIS is more important than those temporary feelings. So, I stayed on track yesterday and then went for a run last night-- a beautiful run at 10 p.m. -- It was dark and lovely, smell of fireplaces wafting through the neighborhood.
I came home feeling so much better about everything-- feeling better that I used something positive to combat the emotions instead of food, and reflected how differently, even, that I walk now 28 pounds lighter from a physical standpoint as well as emotional standpoint. I stand taller and look straight ahead now.
I'm proud of myself for attacking this enemy of mine, and defeating it-- and the emotional surge I get from it offsets the down times when life is just too much--
