Interesting to note: updated my goal and my calorie allowanc

Bummer.
I realized that my ticker was wrong so I went messing around in the settings to see if I could fix it. I changed my weight goal from 125 to 127 and bam! my calorie allowance went down by 20. Of course, this didn't happen because I raised my goal weight; I suppose it actually happened bc my current weight is lower than it was when I set up the goals the first time (although only by 4 pounds, but I am close to goal). I'm still set up to lose 1lb/week, so I didn't make any other changes.
Anyway, the reason this is interesting is that I guess MFP does not adjust your calories down for you as you drop weight, and that is important to know -- it might be helpful to go into your settings and update every so often, (maybe every 10 or so pounds?) so that you can optimize your results.
blessings.

I think it asks you if you want to change your goal calories every 10 lbs or so. I know I have been asked a couple times and one time I changed my settings on my own before it could ask me0

this made me laugh.
I went in and did the auto-one and then followed for a week and decided to manually change it to a happy median for right now, since I was upping my calories but couldn't quite make it. I've had a few people feel I was in starvation mode. So I've been trying to stay up on my calories and high protein in take.
Good luck!0
