hey guys.. sorry if this has been asked before but i am wondering how i can add bodypump (55min weight training class) to my strength training? People in aussie/NZ will know what i am on about.. it asks for reps/sets so i'm not exactly sure what i would put down for that since the entire class is a mix of everything and i use different weight for each track/body part..

If you use a HRM it will tell you what you burn, then you have no doubts:-)

Anything you add in the strength training section will not show up as calories burned on here - it is more just to track the actual exercises.....If you want to show the calorie burn you need to add it at the top under cardio - don't know specifically what you are looking for, but you might search for "Strength training (weight lifting, weight training)." ... or if you know how many calories you burned just add your item under cardio....

That's not really true. HRM's are based on body movement for the most part and NOT energy expenditure. It's really difficult to get a reading based on that.

I think the BEST one, one that's closest to some of the systems in the Dr's offices is the Polar FT7.

Put it under "crosstraining" and just put in your calories burned. Something like that with your weight I would expect maybe 400 calories at the MOST.

When I was using an HRM it would often greatly overestimate my calorie burn. Something to keep in mind. If you really want to know your burn go with a Bodybugg :)

The Polar FT7's are pretty on par with the Bodybuggs IMHO. But those things have alot of good features I believe. Which when used right can be a PHENOMINAL tool.
