The start of a fitter lifestyle

Hello Everyone,
I am Gem, 26 from South West England. I work full time, have two children in nursery and try to scrape together any tiny bit of time to go to the gym.
So far today (My day off) I've lay in bed looking for a website to do what myfitnesspal.com can do.

I'm impressed so far!

I need the motivation to keep going, I need to know what I eat and that my exercise is doing something to help make me fitter.

I am running 5k on the 24th July 2011 so I need to improve my fitness and stamina for that.
I currently run 1 mile in about 13 minutes- although this includes walking as I am unable to run it straight.
I've also hurt my ankle, and running on it causes sharp pangs in m ankle and shin- i'm hoping this will soon go, as walking on it, or using the cross trainer involves no pain.

I look forward to hearing from you, and hoping that this site can help me keep myself motivated and on track to losing my 20kg.

    If you want to know something - look in the forums, use the search facility - cos the best thing about this place is, someone has normally already asked the exact same question! If they haven't then post a question and "poof" within seconds you'll have replies.
