I am pretty good about eating all my meals in the day. But when I sleep from 9 am to round 4 pm and eat around 6 pm i am starving by the time Its midnight. I get 1 15 min break around 130 am and then dont have my "lunch" break until 530 am. I am wondering if anyone else has this problem when you work over night . and any advice would be helpful. I am trying really hard to eat healthy but with my schedule its hard in the middle of the night.

I eat my "lunch" before I go into work (aroung dinner time) and then when I get my break I eat my "dinner" in the middle of the night. Then I usually eat breakfast around 0530-0600 and go to bed around 0800. I also bring a few healthy snacks with me to work overnight. Hope that helps!0

That's a tough situation! Is it possible for you to bring healthy snacks to secretly munch on if you get hungry? My friend recently told me about Powerbar Energy Bites. They're pretty good and filling, and come in a little pouch. Maybe keeping a bag with you would help because they're bitesize. Just a thought...keep us posted and good luck!0

When I worked overnights I had to set my regular life schedule accordingly. All my meal times were adjusted to meet my work schedule. I ate "Breakfast" before leaving for work (Usually what the rest of the family had for dinner). Lunch at the appointed time and then a light meal for "Dinner" after work. This really helps if you tend to eat a larger meal before going to work, as you are up and about burning it off for the next 8 hours.
I got pretty good at it, even being able to go back to "Normal" eating schedules for the week end.1 -
I work overnights and have for 5 yrs. I have a different schedule and it works good for me. I work 11pm-8am. I sleep from 2pm-10pm so i eat at 10, have break at 1 am if im hungry i have a small snack (gogurt or string cheese usually) then lunch at 3 am. I have another break at 630 am then i come home at 8. I usually eat breakfast between 9-10. and ill have another small snack before bed, 12 or 1 usually. I eat 5 small meals/snacks a day and Its been working so far, ive lost 6 lbs in my 3 weeks of MFP!!0
