I know on this site that weight training doesn't account for any lose in calories. But, my trainer said that you can burn up to 350-500 calories with weight training like the weight machines/lunges/etc.

How do you suggest tracking calories lost through weights?

Also, when I enter in those reps on this site, what is the point if it doesn't count towards my calories?

Get a heart rate monitor. You can log in all your personal info; height, weight, age and AT. Knowing your aerobic threshold is crucial to knowing actual calories burned. You can go by a standard guide, but unless you do a heart rate test you won't know exactly what you are capable of burning. if you belong to a health club, the trainers there can do a simple test on the treadmill and then help you log your info into the watch of the monitor. These run about $25 dollars for the most basic up to $$$ for the more complicated ones. Wear this whenever you work out and there is NO guessing calories burned. I wouldn't workout without one!

Polar is one of the best with a range of $$$
