I love having a protein shake for a quick breakfast or afternoon mini meal but buying the powders and lugging the giant containeres home is starting to bug me...
Do you have any recipes for homemade protein shakes? Suggestions?
Thanks!!!

  • Shakeology is a meal replacement and it comes in a bag. It's not a bulky container. Also you can get it in single serve packets if you are always on the go. When you order it they give you a calendar with 30 recipes on it and the Beachbody community is always sharing new recipes so you can find out what new ways to make it so you dont get bored. See my profile about Shakeology if any other questions. But i understand the big containers being annoying! And most of the time those shakes are not tasty! :noway:

I order my protein powder from Bodybuilding.com and just get the biggest container possible. No lugging because it is shipped to my home! When I want to take some along, I either pre-measure into a little plastic baggie. I also keep a small plastic Rubbermaid container at work, then just re-fill it on the weekends.

If you are looking for great recipes, check out menshealth.com and search for smoothies - they have tons of good ones!

    Hope this helps!

I'll mix milk, Greek Yogurt, peanut butter, and fresh fruit. Not a "pure" protein shake as there are carbs in each of those ingredients as well. But it's a nice balance of the two. If I need a little caffeine jolt, I'll pour in a little bit of coffee. Takes a few tries to get the portions to proper taste. But I love it.

Compare to lugging home 8 gallons of milk (64 lbs.) to make 2 lbs. milk protein isolate.

I order custom blended protein from trueprotein.com . They have many choices. Find a 5% discount code in their forums.
