Hello,

I discovered myfitnesspal on facebook and thought I'd give it a try. So far I have discovered that I am eating way too much......which was not a surprise to me. Totally love the android app, makes my life so much easier. I need to lose between 17 and 24 pounds, I'm hoping that myfitnessplan will help.

Anyone got any tips or advice.

    First, welcome.

    Second, log your food. Everything. You'll be amazed at the results, and maybe even surprised by what you are eating. It will help put things into perspective. Like...if I eat that 500 calorie piece of pie, I can't eat dinner today.

    Third, add friends. Friends to provide positive feedback, help motivate you and to share in your triumphs.

    Thanks for the advice......I've suprised myself at how good I been at logging all the food I eat. It's quite addictive!!

    After just over 2 weeks I managed to lose almost 5 pounds, which is great. I always thought that calorlie counting wouldn't work....how wrong I was.

    So far this has been the easiest diet I've been on......so much so that it doesn't even feel like a diet :)
