That's not a stupid question at all. It should be specified on entries whether something like rice or pasta, which grow considerably when cooked, is raw or cooked. But 150 calories would certainly be cooked. Any type of rice would be more calories when uncooked.0

Definitely cooked.0

wow, i was just over at the database, and the rice calories are all over the map. I do know that the shorter the grain, the higher the calorie, because of the gluten content. I would go by what is on the back of the bag. Personally i stay away from rice.0

what kind of rice are you cooking? 150 for 1/2 a cup seems like a lot. I get 200 calories for 1 cup of brown.0

I was trying to determine what type of rice to cook and saw that number but cant remember what type of rice it was.... prob white. I was a little overwhelmed with all of the variations and could not decide which type to get. I am getting a new rice cooker and want to try it out. lol thanks for all the feed back.0
