question about meats I weigh them raw weight and I log them off of that but wasnt sure if it is meant to be raw or cooked weight. Most dont say whether they are raw or cooked weight so wasnt 100% sure. just I put down to lose a lb a week and usually lose about 2lb a week so though it might be coming from incorrect meat logging?
thanks

I tend to log conservatively. By that I mean I would rather overestimate the calories in something than underestimate. Unless you are buying very high quality meats and not marinating them or using other sauces on them then using the uncooked estimates are probably best, because they will wiegh more prior to cooking. If you are buying very good quality meats then they shouldn't cook down as much and the differnces would be minimal. Just remember that if you are applying any sauces to them to count those calories also.

I'm in the opposite camp - the dieticians I've spoken with say to weigh/measure your food in the state you eat it. So if you are eating cooked meat - weigh it cooked, raw veggies - weight them raw. The major exception to this rule is pasta - always weigh it dry.
